Brass knobsville

Not a lot I can say about Sunday's finds as they are not that great. Just $5.00 a Ford and a nice Brass knob of unknown origin.

Not sure what it is off but possibly a bed head. Had also wondered if it might be off a walking cane.

Hollow without a screw thread.

I found it about 80m out  from the high tide line so I guess someone just threw it.

Shallow trough Silver.

I found a shallow trough cut on the beach today. The first hit was the Silver ring only 30 seconds in to the hunt From then on I dug every signal but it was mostly trash and for the 4th hunt in a row a single silver coin. This time a 1934 NZ 3 pence.

I have emailed Medic Alert to see if I can return the bracelet as I suspect it is a fresh drop.

New ground

Today's beach hunt just might be virgin ground. Went to a small beach for the first time and dug 50 coins. Several were sun-bakers. Almost $15 spendable's and for the third hunt in a row a single silver coin. This time an Australian 1940 threepence. Going back on a better tide to get the Gold.
Not sure about the small copper sealed pendant thing. Something sealed in plastic inside but I'm not opening it.

Solitary silver again

The strong South Westerly wind made my hunt at a beach park an endurance test today. A really high wind chill factor straight off the Manukau harbor.  Brrrr. Perseverance and some luck gave me another $8.70 for the relief fund and for the second hunt in a row a solitary silver coin. This time a NZ sixpence.

Be good to see some gold next time.

Walking for cash

Pounded the sands of Takapuna beach on Friday afternoon. Mixed in with all the trash was exactly $11.00 and a 1934 NZ 3p. A young German Shepherd dropped a tennis ball just beside me as I dug one target and guess who made the mistake of throwing it for her and again and again. When I got tired of she just went down the beach a bit a found another sucker. Clever dog.  It is neat that we have some large city beaches where all sizes and types of dogs can be themselves and run around like crazy. Cool to watch especially when the targets are a bit slow.

Exercise mainly

This was my exercise yard today. I was quite late getting on site so missed out on mudflat hunting and had to be content with the beach slope. Great views, sun shining, very few finds but still fun in the sun. $9.70 in cash was about the best of it. .

I will be back..
