Junkers day

Yesterday I spent around 4 hours searching mainly the dry sand on the beach as the tide was high.  I thought the chain might have been silver but not a mark anywhere. I am told it might be a Dreamcatcher for those who are believers. The gold ring is junk but the small silver with CZ's is marked 925. Spendable's totaled $16.70 so got to be happy with that.

Triple at the Trig

Today I hunted at a lookout hill top around a Trig Station. The first dig was the two half crowns in the same hole but only one was silver. Strange there were no $1 or $2 modern coins as it is a popular destination.

Cricket n Rail

These two items popped up in my last beach hunt. A Railway spike and a Cricket Wicket tip. Not your regular beach finds for sure. The spike was totally encrusted when found and had been there many many years.  The beach is quite close to the railway so perhaps a Railway Workers Picnic from years gone by. ;-)

Big Brass today

Friday afternoons hunt started off in a park and I had intended to stay there but the lure of the sand was too strong and that coupled with a 0.2m low tide I ended up hunting about 2 hours on each.  I was happy with the result of $8.70 spendable cash, a mans ring of unknown metal and a whopping great brass padlock. I have no idea of how old the lock may be and so welcome comments on this.

Friday Fun

Got to the beach about an hour after low tide and the flats were already recovered so I spent a couple of hours on the slope and also the dry sand for a change. Only produced the gold junk ring and several coins so to try and find something half decent I spent another hour in a park and found the 925 pendant with cz's and the second junk ring along with another few dollars. Once  again a piece of silver saved the day.

All finds.
