Hot Silver

It was really hot at the beaches today. I visited two. The first was a big fat zero so I moved on. The second was not a lot better but at least I did find a few coins and a 1945 NZ silver 3 pence. The find of the day was the 925 chain  stamped Italy.

Unfinished business 2

I must be a sucker for punishment as yesterday I was back at the same beach on a lower low tide stumbling around in the mud seeking more treasure. Happily I did have some success with another 2 silver rings and $8.20 cash. The Emma Page bracelet has unfortunately been in the mud too long to revive it's appearance and the massive skull ring is a junker.

HH all.

Unfinished business.

Today I went back to the same beach as my last post to search an area that I did not get to before darkness fell. My hunch was right and 3 more rings popped up. The first to show was the low value copper ring and then two .925 silver rings followed by the .925 charm pendant with stone. $9.80 was the spendable's total.

All finds for the day.

Plus multiple bobby pins now in the trash. Damn things were everywhere. :-)

First Gold for 2016

I had a very enjoyable beach hunt last evening as targets were plentiful. Although most were bottle tops and bobby pins I did manage to get 4 rings. In the image the small ring in front is 18ct. On the left is 925 with CZ's. The other two are junkers. First gold for 2016 on the last low tide for January. Happy as.
